Epsom, Surrey

In July 2009 Tesco revealed plans for a 45,000 sq ft supermarket, space for smaller shops, 18 apartments and 396 car park spaces on Epsom's Upper High Street. Residents were concerned that the plans will lead to severe traffic congestion and submitted an application in early October.

Applications from Aldi and Lidl followed.


Ewell, London

Tesco are planning to turn a defunct pub into a Tesco Express to the annoyance of some residents who question whether it is needed in Ewell. Tesco submitted a planning application to change the ‘signs and facade’ of the Kingfisher Pub in Ruxley Lane at the junction with Gatley Avenue.
