In April 2013 Tesco confirmed plans to bring a ‘small supermarket’ to Bromyard. A formal application will be submitted to Herefordshire Council in the summer, but the plan is to build the store on the site of the former Post Office on Tenbury Road, along with a 120-space car park.

In 2011 Tesco announced plans to build a hypermarket that will dwarf its current supermarket in Ledbury.
